Self Portraits ...

We are learning how to draw our self portraits.

We looked at our photos and measured where to put our features (eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc).

We folded and drew lines on our paper to help us get our features in the right place.

We learnt that our eyes are not at the top of our heads and the space between our eyes is about the width of one eye.

We would love you to come and look at our self portrait drawings now displayed in our classroom!

We are learning to draw self portraits ...

Today we looked at some examples of portraits, so we now know what a portrait is!
We are going to be drawing our own self portraits. To help us with this, we took portrait photos of each other. We enjoyed working together and learning how to share the iPads in our classroom ...

A special visitor ...

On Tuesday we had a very special visitor in our classroom. Caleb was very happy to introduce his new baby brother, Noah, who was less than 4 days old! We thanked Caleb's mum for bringing Noah to see us. We were very impressed by Noah's good behaviour!

We are learning to collect and display statistics ...

We have looked at the number of children in class with brown, blue or green eyes. We have looked at how many birthdays Room 22 has in each month of the year. And we have shown this in a graph. We are learning to make statements about the information we can see in a graph.
